I just bought a 1999 380 EXC and it seems to get around 20 mpg. Thats riding it farily easy, is this about normal or could it be better.
Also is a 300 EXC capable of getting any better mileage.

Really is depends upon your jetting and riding style. My 98 380 EXC will approach 90 miles on a tank of fuel if driven moderately on single track trails riding with my two sons. Riding with friends (CR500 and YZ 250) riding tight trails and high mountain passes it may drop to 70 miles/tank. Riding dunes it drops to about 50 miles/tank.

I agree with ID. Spodely 80+, race pace ~50. At 20 mpg your are within the range, kinda'. Float adjustment seems critical with fuel milage. A lot can escape out the overflow tubes if not set to spec.
