It had better just initial the cretificates......after all it is a Maico.
It probably couldn't stay running through a full signature. :debil:

Since the factory has moved back to the Germany, they're supposedly going to improve quality and reliability. I wish I could read German. From other things I have read I assume that this Koestler fella is actually the new owner of Maico.

Maico used to be King of the big 2-strokes. They may just reign supreme again!
Oh yes, I'll take two!

The 2002 model enduro with blinkers from the same link looks fun too!

Didn't they make a 700cc 2-stroke single years ago that Super Hunky raced the Blackwater 100 with? Talk about the wrong tool for the job!

I also see you can get that motor punched out to 685cc! And they still use Bing carburetors!

And Vintage - go to www.freetranslation.com - you can past in the website and it'll bring up a translated version of that page. Not perfect, but close enough to get a little understanding!

I like that write-up on the 760!

Makes me think I might be able tio handle an AF500 after all (if I can get it rev-limitted to 4K!)

A CR 500 probably makes more power at 4 grand than the Maico 760 made at it's peak (well, maybe not quite as much at such a low pm ;) ). The 760 made crazy low-end grunt, though!

They did say 46 at the rear wheel...I don't think current CR500s make much more than that (I was thinking 60 at the crank)
