Im runnin motul 800 in my 01 rm 125 on vp c12.. Ive been mixing 550cc to 5 gallons of gas the guy i bought the bike from said to do that. now ive got some nasty spooge coming out from the jug side of the pipe and the bike seems to be running extremely rich. One of the local pro guys told me the prob was my pre mix and to start mixen 70:1 and that was what he runs in his rm...what do you fellas think...
MOTOR MODS: port polished and shaved head, pro factory piston, vforce 2, bills pipe and silencer

I'm not too sure on this one, but I'd re-jet it before I went to 70:1. You're running currently at 34:1. Most ppl run 32:1, so I wouldn't mess with it other than to re-jet it. Some of the other guys, like Eric Gorr, Rich R. and the other 'smart guys' might have better answers.

I ran Motul 800 in my 99 rm125 @ 32:1 with zero problems. I still use the Motul 800 today and really like it. If your bike is jetted anywhere near what my 99 had stock the pilot circuit is jetted ridiculously rich. I believe my 99 had a 55 pilot from the factory. I ended up somewhere near a 42 or 45 and the spooging disappeared. The bike had very good throttle response right off the bottom also. I definitely would recommend a jetting change first. The problem isn't too much oil, it's too rich from fuel.

Ha ha... I hope that local "pro" has full sponsorship for motor work and parts... :)
70:1 might be enough oil in a 125 if you only idle the bike. A lot of people run up to 18:1 in those, I wouldn't go any less than 32:1.

Motul reccomends 50:1 for their 800 2t. I have found( and so have some friends) that if you mix motul any richer than 40:1 you will get spooge and foul plugs even if the jetting is good. 70:1 is too lean and you will get abnormal crank and rod bearing wear . If I were you I would mix about 45:1 (only with motul) for your 125 and then proceed with jetting.

I also got and still get no spooge with 32:1 with the Motul 800. If you spooge and foul plugs, maybe you need to learn to jet properly. I've run quality oil down as high as 20:1 in my old 87 rm125 with almost zero spooge. It IS a jetting issue, not an oil issue. At rebuild time in various bikes, my top ends and power valve assemblies have virtually no carbon build up, either.

Hey, wasn't there a thread around here at one time about how to properly jet your bike? I tried searching, but didn't have the patience to go thru all of those threads.
