Does anybody have an idea where I can find a clutch cable for this DT 250? It seems that the 74 year has a completely different cable than previous or later years. It is my friends bike and is in mint condition, and he would prefer not to rig something to make it work.

I know where your coming from, take the old cable out of the cable tube and take the cable to your local hard ware store. Find the right width and cut it as long as you need (cut it a little longer to be on the safe side) bring it home put it in the cable tube and hook it back up.

Theres probably better way of doing this but I did this and havn't had a problem.

Try terrycable, they will make you a cable, I just had all my cables made for my 74 yz250, If there are any problems, you can send them your old one, and they make it from that.!
