This is my first post here so a little background. I'm 43 and have been riding street bikes for over 20 years (current bike is a '99 CBR1100XX). I was just given the YZ250 by a friend who is trying to get me in the dirt riding side of things. The bike is in good shape over all but has leaky fork seals. Question: Do I have to take the forks to a dealer to get the seals popped out? The manual shows using a special vice to compress the forks, forcing the seals out.

OK here's the answere to my own question. The seals can easily be forced out with the use of wood working clamps. These are the kind of clamps that use plumming pipe. The clamps are usually orange. Works slick.
