I have a kx500 Ceet gripper seat cover on my '92

It was NOT any fun installing it!

But it fit, after about six tries

Cutting it very close on a 89-94 KDx using a KX500 cover. It barely fits tip to tail. I ended up buying one from GUTZ. I tried searching for their website but didn't come up with any results. Maybe someone else has the link....

I used the Ceet KX500/KDX200 cover on my -E, it fit very well and, more importantly, lasted through some very tough abuse. I'm currently rebuilding an '89 KDX (Frankenbike) and I am thinking about trying the products from this company ---> http://www.graphicmx.com

They have cool graphics and a KX500 that will work.

I put a Ceet KX 500 seat cover on my 92 kdx, and it fit like crap! I had to stretch it like mad and it didnt even reach the sides of the back of the seat, and there is like these ripples at the top of the cover:S

What year KX500 cover??

'88-'04

I don't have any close up pics

I'm very pleased with mine, and it looks so much better than that old blue P.O.S.!

Same year as your bike.

And yes, the "RV6" in my screen name is from an aircraft I built many moons ago.

Thanks for the info, I'm going to give it a shot.
RV-6,
My pop's and I built an RV-6 92-95. I got alot of time bucking rivets! Van did a good job designing that one. My pop is TMRV6, you might have seen him on forums.

Ah, you guy's built one of the "older kits" too, before everything was done for you. I started my RV in 1989 and flew it in 1995. I still own my RV6 (after all, how can you sell something you spent 5 years building), but I've been out of the RV world since 2000. I started flying in high school and just burned out on flying. My company owns a real nice Bonanza (free flying), and my co-workers just can't understand why I have no interest in flying it.

Besides, motorcycles are much more fun, accessible and waaaay less expensive.

Actually it may have been 1990 when we my pops started on that thing. he too test flew in 95. It now sits in the hanger. After 9/11 it is a pain to fly in the metro DC area. I understand, I started taking lessons in high school, off and on. never went beyond solo, one day I will get back into it. Can't seem to shake riding in the dirt as of yet!
