89 kx125

i have a chance to pick one up from a good friend who has completely gone over the entire bike and replaced anything that was questionable including rebuilding the motor top and bottom.was just wondering what you guys think about the bike so any opinions would be appreciated.i've also started looking into getting replacement parts for it just to see if they are still around and almost everything for it is still in production.also if anyone remember's,how was this bike in its heyday?how did it compare to other 125's?did it make good power? any reliability issues?any input appreciated.thanks :cool:

the only thing i have found out that the bike needs is the shock rebuilt.he tells me its became like a pogo stick after he jumped it so i assume just new seals and fluids?he is asking 1000 for it.anyone care to comment?i will be going to look at it this weekend and would like to learn as much about this bike as i can.thanks in advance for any input :ride:
