From what I have been reading that was supposedly the best frame geomotry they had. it kept changing until the decided to go aluminum in 97 and they basically sucked all the way up till 05.

I don't know that the geometry really changed much at all between 93 and 97. Also, geometry is in the eye of the rider. I personally prefer the geometry of my 87 CR over a 2002. Why? The older geometry is more comfortable to ride all day. Is it better? I don't know. The moral, don't buy a bike because someone else liked the way it felt.

dont you think you should get a newer bike because of all the other improvements made though(suspension, power, water cooled, etc) just a suggestion but i would go anywhere between 2000-2002 because i like green stickers and i have found it a million times easier to get parts for a 2002 and the frame was still better than the 93 it just sucked compared to the modern one
