I have this 96 CR125, fresh coolant and oil, fresh mixed gas...

I recently did a carb clean and accidentally turned the throttle cable which connects to the carb cap at least a couple times... So keep that in mind... I tried to tighten it back down as best as possible but have no idea if I tightened it to where it previously was.

This video was taken with the choke on and slightly on the gas... You can see that the second I take my hand off the throttle it dies (you have to watch my right hand closely to see when I let off the throttle).

I did try and adjust the pilot air screw (just a little) but still had no luck (which doesn't mean much because I am a 100% complete newb when it comes to bikes/carbs/engines).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a video;

I've tried, but nothing changes.... I turned the screw in the lean it and turn the idle up but the smoke is still heavy and it does the same thing.

What screw are you turning? Sounds like you are turning the air screw not the idle screw.

Until you clear the engine, warm it up and take it for a ride, it will smoke bad. The float valve may be dumping too much fuel in. The floats may be off. The adjustment at the top of the carb is for throttle free play. Before wondering much about jetting, I would get a leak down test on the bottom, and a compression check on top, then jet it. A shop manual is price less! http://www.dirtrider.net/forums3/showthread.php?
