97 KDX 220 brake pads replacement

I just replaced the brake pads on my KDX and I noticed that the rear brakes had some thin brackets around the pad assemblies. Should have I put them on the new set? Everything seemed to fit but I want to make sure that it's right.

Any suggestions?

Yes put them on.

Cars have those things too. The're shims that prevent squeeking and chattering. I would put them on.
