I ride alot of really rocky trails, is it worth the money to put gold valves in stock forks? I have played with different clicks on forks, have 5w oil. Is the oil weight the way to adjust rebound on forks?

You can experiment with oil volume and weight but you will still be on the stock valving. The gold valves will be a big improvement over stock. Do some searches in this forum and you will find a good answer to your question just may not be what you expect.

Its seems as though many people here have removed shims from the base valve with good results. Removing a few of the shims should make your forks a bit more plush in the rocks. A little searching of the forum should reveal some info. I have gold valves in my forks and think that its worth it.

As swift says it will help a little(volume and weight). But valving AND correct oil and weight the better option, depending how far off the performance is you wanting.
