97' Suzuki RM250

Hello,

I just came acrost a VERY good deal on a RM250 from my uncles friend. And i just wanted to know if there was any problems or anything from this year bike?

How is the power delivery? Bottom end? top end? After market availibility? Any info on this bike would be appreciated.

I've herd that they like to stip tranney gears. And i hope that isnt true. But i dont think my source on that is real good.

hello, the rm250 is a great bike it has great torque for a 2stroke and screams in the power ban. there are alot of aftermarket parts available and i would recommend rockymountainmc to anyone for after market or replacement parts... i know nothing about slipping tranny gears but if this is true i would just run a heavier gear oil, im running 80w in my bike.. but i would defently recommend a 250 2 stroke... good luck
