98 CR 250 swap to CR 500 motor?

Lost my chain and trashed the case this weekend. Is it possible to fit a CR500 motor into my 98 CR 250 frame? They look close to the same mounts. I would like to explore this option before hunting down a used engine case. Thanks

Easiest conversion to do, all you need to change are the lower engine mounts and a new headstay. Go to bannedcr500riders for tons of info :)
