'98 KX 250 Fork Top Cap Thread Direction?

Hi all,

I'm trying to replace the oil seals on my KX 250 forks. The top caps are so tight I can't get them loose. :bang: The forks are still on the bike and I've loosened the top of the triple clamp. Can someone please confirm that they are standard direction threads??

They are standard direction.

Make sure that you have both pinch bolts on the top loose. Maybe even wedge a screw driver in the gap and pry the clamps open slightly and try again.

They are loose now - just took more persuasion than I expected (or was willing to give without knowing what directions the thread was).
