Hi there,

Just got a 99 EGS 200 model recently.
Bike from previous owner was jetted as below
172 main jet, 40 pilot, CEJ at 2nd position from the top.
Sea level, temp is abt 32 degree Celsius.

Coming off from a 92 WR200 which I had the jettings done
spot on, I dun really find my 99 EGS 200 fantastic....

The bike splutters at abt 1/4 throttle
I suspect the main jet might be a tad small. Pilot might be rich
as I notice that the exhaust is wet with spooge. Could be the
needle as well. Read that CEK might be the way to go.

My riding style, I like to WOT most of the time, occasional tight trails but does the riding enviroment really matters if the bike is jetted properly???

My 92 WR200 does not spooge, great power all around the throttle in track and tight trails.

How can I make my 99 EGS 200 like that??? 8(

Can anyone gimme some jettings that you use so that I have a
good base to start off with?

Thanks a million.

99 EGS 200 has a prelube which is disabled. I'm using 30:1 premix ratio.
I think it's using a 39mm Keihin PWK carb.

Any recommendations?
