99 kdx shock rebuild

Anybody know what the nitrogen charge should be on a 99 kdx 200 rear shock?? I searched and found nothing for this question.

The manual says 142 psi for my '03 which should be the same for yours.

From the Manual for my '92 : The adjustable gas pressure range is 142 - 216psi

Factory standard pressure is 170psi
Mine has 192psi in it

Charge? about $12 :cool:

Apologies but I wasn't able to get to the internet over the weekend. I double checked the manual, which is the OEM Kawi manual, and is the for the 2000 model with addendums for 2001 and 2002 and there is no range of pressures listed for the shock. They only list 142psi as the pressure. The instructions say that first pressure to 7psi and check for leaks and then pressurize to 142psi. Possibly the shocks are different between your model and mine.
