'99 YZ 250 forks

I recently purchased a '99 YZ 250. I was wondering if I should be bleeding the forks after riding, and if so, how often?

I assume the correct way to do that is to raise the front wheel off the ground and unscrew the small screw on top of the fork cap to allow it to bleed?

Usually after every ride, but on long rides you could do it after every couple of hours.
