99 yz 250 help!

when i rev my bike it will make like this noise like a belt is slipping but there are no belts on it i know that much i just cant figure out what it is. it sounds like it is comming from the water pump but im not sure.. i hope someone can help me

Does the bike get real hot now that it makes the noise. Maby a gear is stripped in the water pump.
IDK just a sugesstion

i dont know how hot it is supposed to get but it get pretty toasty. after i ride for a while like 30 min. i can only hold my hand on the motor for about 4 seconds, should i take the water pump off and check it out??

well i took off the water pump and everything is good now when i ride for a little while when i down shift into 1st. it will bog down and die i dont know what is wrong with this thing any help will be great cuz i am out of ideas..
