Hey Ted ...

I have read this several times and am guessing that it is at least partially complimentary ... but then, there are portions which seem to have deeply imbedded innuendo ... perhaps directed toward an unknown target by an unknown author?

Might I add this as a clarification ... ???

*******************************
While owls have wings and hoot in the dark,
We can't all ride green nor live in the park,
But for certain today as the sun will rise,
We're brothers of dirt who look to the skies,
And when this saga it draws to an end,
Let's pray we have Woodsy as our best friend!

He may get lost along the way,
But what the hell, that's OK,
'Cause in the end imperfect are we,
But together we bond for all to see,
In spite of words and jests from all,
It's really Kadie who carries the ball.

Anonymous ... ca. 2004
*******************************

A friend in the bush can often be very complicated, but our hearts are together on this one, I am happy to help out with whatever malevolent mayhem I might be able to produce to aid in the cause of irritating Woodsy into recovery ASAP!

Ol Woodsy is down but not for the count
as hand joins in hand and the pressure does mount!
By chance or by fate others have joined rank
trying to fire up Woodsy by turning his crank.
Little is known of this new players past,
where he comes from, if he rides slow or rides fast!
One thing is sure if this contest is not done,
the roost from sweet Kadie will cover more then one!
The list of this chore continues to grow,
now theres one more that this rooster will know!
All reading here should heed this short post,
little ol Kadie throws roost ALOT harder then most!
Many have commented to Woodsy of rocks in the roost,
when come to find out, her knobby's rubber came loose!
She'll rip up a tire at the twist of the grip,
leaving those behind wishing they'd stay'd home from the trip!
Now all have been warned of this NONSENSE they play,
of the list Woodsy's keeping for that big payback day!
"Timers" days are all numbered cause Woodsy a healin,
lets hope that this new guy knows the cards that he's dealin!

Man, this thread is getting serious ...

Prose and Poetry,
Slander and Slight,
Transgressions and Threats,

What's next? Repentance?

Woodsy, our madness is in the method ... you are the experiment ... as a retired scientist-type, take my word for it, we will not fail you ... however, there may be side effects, albeit minor in nature ... but, severe itching is something to which you can certainly become accustomed despite its location? While I currently can remember the formula for the antidote, severe roosting with rocks could jar my memory ... perhaps you might wish to reconsider your proposed future actions?

Terry:
If you read my poem again you will notice that the threat of "Rocks in the Roost" was indeed not a threat at all. It was a mere implicated quote from a past rider who had been roosted by Kadie (that rider happened to be one Judge Mweissen). The Poem continues to explain that Kadie truley is NOT a mean bike at all, she was NOT tossing rocks but merely tossing the rubber off her rear tire - yeppers, the nobs were being tossed. As I recall, she was merely defending herself when this happened!
Truely, you have NOTHING to worry about unless you have something to worry about!! :)
Why would I want to reconsider whilest I am having a BALL hahaha :nener:

U.P. Riding

INCA,

I am just south of Milwaukee and get awefully tired of driving through Chicago to get to the Michigan trails (although Evart rocks!)

I'd like to check out Forest Islands. Have you riden there yet? Send an email and let me know if you're interested.

Regards,
Jeff
