Michelle suggested on another thread that I pose this question, since, she said, at least one other member has already managed to raise his boot height this way. Sounds like an excellent idea, but how do you get a new sole to bond to the old one? Any advise will be much appreciated, as I am trying to get more clearance over my KDX. Thanks.

Cobbler shops are hard to find these days, but if you can find a local shoe mender he can take off the original sole and put in a crepe spacer, then replace the original back.
A good cobbler will make this look like OEM equipment.
I think you can also choose different grades of stiffness with spacers, which could help to lesson shock.

It's been years since I've seen a cobbler shop aywhere.
