Adult S-XS or Kids L? New brain bucket!

In light of my knocking myself silly a couple of months ago, and getting back to full speed in a few weeks, I'll need to pick up a new helmet.

I plan on going with another fox tracer pro helmet, but can't decide between the youth and adult model.

If I go with the youth model, I'll save 10 bucks, and the specs say that it is nearly a pound lighter than the adult model.

Will I sacrifice a lot of quality by going with the youth model and saving the 10$ to put towards a sprocket?

yes buy the adult s. there is a reason it is 1lb heavier. our racers(kids) get adult s not youth xl. put them side by side. you'll see real quick the difference in quality and protection between the two. they anticipate a youth not going that fast or riding hard IMO... No youth helmets for us. $10 well spent.
