I may be wrong here, but aren't silencers HIGHLY illegal? As in, you don't even want to be caught with one? I know here in TX they are a big no-no. Not that they'd do me any good on a revolver anyways. :)

Green Horn: I'm sorry to inform you, but you are wrong.

Silencers and Machine guns(Class 3 catagory) are in fact highly LEGAL. The only exception are the states that do not allow private ownership. As of 2002 Texas was a class 3 friendly state. I haven't heard any bad news yet from TX.

Cool, I wasn't aware of that. I will admit that I don't stay up to date on all of the laws regarding this stuff. I was under the uneducated impression that they were illegal. I guess you Class 3 guys can get away with anything these days. :)

I wouldn't go that far. I would say we are the most responsible. There has never been a case of a registered silencer or machine gun used in a crime. They have too much info on us.

They sure are fun. :aj:

But fun isn't cheap. :(

oh yeh! plenty of class 3 states out there, get that plus an explosive devices fedral permit and it's redneck heaven. could i post a pic i'd post me in a jock, rolling around in my backyard muddied up with my 'scoped '91. gotta love the .308 with a rolling locking bolt. uzi= s-l-o-w cyclic. i'm an ingram fan for the cheap reliable open bolt, but hey, if you can afford it, an mp5 supressed from the factory is always a nica adition. nice assasin pistol, that hk, you got there! :yeehaw:

Crash: I know what you mean. The good thing about the UZI is how easy it is to control. Cyclic rate is very important when considering a machine gun.

My dream gun would be an HK MP5 SD A3, but alass,my accountant(wife)says I can't spend that amount of money($8,000 to $10,000 for which it's going for now.). :|

My riding buddy has a MAC 10 in .45 w/suppressor on order. The paper work is in the process. We have shot it a few times, and the words MUZZLE CONTROL come to mind. At about 1,000 rpm's, WOOO WEEE, you might as well call it a bullet hose.

:aj: :aj:

Also the gun in the photo's is a Beretta 92fs. :thumb:

Yeah, needless to say I was kiddin' ya. :) I do know that you've got to be squeaky clean and go through lots of work to get into the class 3 stuff. I guess I am at the other end of the spectrum being that I am not a registered carrier nor is my piece registered (atleast not to me).

They sure are fun. :aj:

But fun isn't cheap.

I can only imagine. I currently have a S&W 686 plus (7 shot revolver), and I used to go shooting at the range regularly. I could EASILY bang off 50 bucks of ammo in an hour or so. Add to that the 20 bucks for the range fee, lunch afterwards with my shooting buds and it made for an expensive outing. I used to do that every couple of weeks. My how things change when you get married and have a kid. :)

Nice picture Irish, what's that ugly dog's name in the middle, "Red"? If the left dog is name "leftnut" and the right dog is named "rightnut", one can only assume the one in the middle is the, well, nevermind, I couldn't resist!:)

Ahhhhh, Carlo, thats Thumps Harem not mine. :)

I just have the Sheperd, her names Nikita. The one thing that always makes folks do a double take is that all her commands are in German.

Well done Thump! You certainly shouldn't have let it go, too many people take that stance on things like this and it continues. That kid will think twice about carrying on like that again I think...

I am amazed that you were able to keep your cool because I think I would have B slapped the little punk! People like that have no right having a pet, but as was said if the dog turns on him it will be ruled the dog's fault and not the owner - either way it's a lose-lose situation. If there's a next time I would call the police and let them handle it.

I don't like Pit-Bulls but even not liking them, I could never advocate beating an animal. I love dogs and this guy sounds like a general all around idiot. I can't have a dog right now because of my asthma, but I really wish I could.

Beating an animal is just flat dead wrong. :(

BTW, I like dogs with long noses, big ears and long tails. Kind of like Irishs' and Thumps dogs. Beautiful dog Irish.

"unless you were really there you don't really know if you agree or disagree with me... "

Thump, I agree with you here. Who knows what I would have done, I guess for me it's just hard to imagine a person beating a dog that bad (I know it happens, I've just never seen it.)

Yeah, your version of the word "mean" does seem much worse and I relize now that you held back quite a bit!

violence does only teach violence - That said, I still think you did good by your actions - and I truly hope the kid learned his lesson, though it's doubtfull. Either way I bet next time he has his dog at the track he'll be looking over his shoulder for you :thumb:
