any illinoise enduro riders out there to help a newbie out

i have ridden bikes before and atvs i have never raced but last year i went with some ppl to an enduro race and i thought it was so awsome i want to get in to this so if any one out there can help it would be vary helpful to me. by the way alot of people there were rideing ktms and i am getting a sx 125 would i be able to race this in enduro races.

P.S. i live in northern ILL.
