I'm looking for some technical books so I can broaden my knowledge of motorcycles. Ideally suspension and handling but I'm also interested in 2-stroke operation. Can anyone reccomend some good books or websites etc?

I’ve been away so I’m surprised no one has jumped on this. First stop for dirtbikes, buy Eric Gorr’s book (should be a link to the site or just go Amazon).

For 2 stroke info: macdizzy.com. Graham Bell’s book is old but still the best standard for the layman. Blair if you are feeling Confident (read you are ready for that thesis).

Kevin Cameron’s Sportbike performance is non Dirtbike biased but a brilliant book for explaining many aspects relevant.

Happy reading.

I like Erics book the best. Quick and to the point. My local Barnes and noble carries it. Some of the libraries also have his book, but they are all stolen!

His section on suspension for my YZ 250 saved me sending the shock in for a revalve.
