I don't ride dual sport on the street, but I have a CBR 600 so it should be the same thing as far as requirements.
1-You must have a red taillight
2-Headlight on at all times
3-Rearview mirror (at least 1)
4-White licence plate light
5-Horn
6-Of course, registration/insurance and M license
Turn signals are not required but if you do not have them, you must use hand signals. As far as the mirrors, I have taken them off my street bike and nobody has ever said anything to me about them. Make sure your plate light is white, if you use blue, green, red, etc., you are sure to get pulled over.
