Anyone race at Wide Open MX park in NC

My son and a friend are planning on driving down to race on Feb. 3rd. I told him I’d check to get details on the track and maybe find a place where they could get some practicing in on the Saturday before the race.

Any help is appreciated.

I know some places that are a couple hours east of there. I think TNT is 2 hours west, and several of our Carolina members frequent it.

That might be a bit far for them but I'll let them know. Their crazy plan is to drive down Friday afternoon (12 hours), practice Saturday, race Sunday and drive back home Sunday to be back in work Monday morning. Youth is a great thing!

Will there not be practice at wide open on Saturday? I see on their website that there is no Friday practice, but it doesn't specifically mention Saturday.

Yes, there is practice Saturday. I talked to my son last night and they are all set to practice at the track Saturday. I saw the same thing about no Friday practice but they called down and verified they can ride Saturday.

I wish I was going!
