I'm thinking of selling my paid-for KDX200 for a new KTM 300XC that won't be paid for for a LONG time. I don't race but I'm trying to become a better rider, and I have been lusting after a KTM and its quality components since the day after I bought my KDX. I have heard from many people that it is easier to go fast on a KTM, and a nearby dealer finally has a 300XC available.
I know KTMs have hard seats and that the stiff suspension of an XC may need some tweaking for anything other than race pace. I've also read that the 300 needs some jetting attention off the showroom floor. After my KDX, this will be a walk in the park. ;)
Does anyone regret buying their KTM 300XC/EXC? Am I nuts for wanting to do this? I know this is a biased group...
