I am in the market to pick up a new roost deflector. I was using the outer plastic chest protector and will most likely continue the trend. I have seen the AXO Full body armor bio foam under jersey protection. It appears to cover full chest and back, and shoulders. I wanted to know if anyone here has ever used it? does if offer protection from crashes, you know, handlebar in the gut protection? The unit sells for $110, so it is about same price as an outer system... Any users out there?

i advise you to try one before you buy one if at all possible. i bought one of the thor under jersey chest protectors and it is terribly uncomfortable. i only wore it once. it's been hanging in the garage ever since.

RIght on Okie!!
I have a pix of me last year at Budds Creek shaking Tim Ferrys hand and he is standing there smiling with taped up nipples!!!!!!
I forgot about that....
Now that you guys mention it..Maybe it is better to stick to the outer plastic ones.
I remember what it was like being a kid and catching waves in the ocean with one of those rafts, nipples would be rubbed raw ...yowzer!!!!
