Just bought the applied racing safety wire kit but it came with no instruction on how to use it. Fact is, I've never put safety wire on my grips so I don't have a clue about how this is supposed to work. I was hoping it would come with step by step instructions and pictures and diagrams for dummies. Any suggestions? I think if I tinker with it ling enough I would figure it out but I don't want to waste all that wire! Thanks!

I would guess they all work the same so here is how mine works
1) cut a piece of wire so you can wrap it around and have about 1 inch extra
2)wrap it around the grip and twist the ends together loosle
3)Grab the twisted ends in the jaws and lock them
4)Just holding by the center leg/knob pull it firmly away from the grip (do not pull to tightly or you'll cut the grip) and the whole plier should spin
5)Cut the ends so there is about 1/4in and then use the end of the jaws to push the end into the grip so it won't catch your glove

I pretty much do the same a Oldguy except I make a double wrap.
Pull both ends up, cross over top of grip and then back down where I twist, cut, bend, and push the end into the grip. This seems to minimize any cutting of the grips which I tend to see with the single wrap. Keep in mind I love Renthal soft grips with no waffle pattern.
