are carb vent hoses really $7 apiece?!?!

i need new carb vent hoses and went to denniskirk.com and rockymountainmc.com and checked out carb vent hoses...they are like $6.50!! is that for the whole set or just a piece?? hopefully for the set, cause i do NOT want to spend lik $30 on plastic hoses ya know? thanks to anyone who helps me out!

I buy Tygon tubing at the hardware store for carb vent hoses. It’s been awhile since I had to buy any but it’s not that expensive.

You can also use automotive vacuum hose.

you can use aquarium tubing on them also, and it's extremely cheap.

Make sure that whet ever you use that it is resistant to gas (or in Rich’s case, rocket fuel ;) ). Soak a small piece in some gas to see if it softens, gets gooey, or hardens.

thanks guys! i really wasn't to thrilled on paying almost $7 for a damn plastic hose! i have one more question too........I need a new fuel line, I think its 1/4" x 3, anyone got any suggestions on what to use for a new rubber fuel line? where to get them? thanks!

just take the old one to a parts store and they'll cut you a piece, probably costs about a buck.
