Good luck finding a crf for 2200. If you do it will probly be a money pit. An older cr, say 2000 to 2002 could be had for that price in most areas. They are great bikes. At your size you would also be fine on a 125, and you can get a newer one for the money. This would also be an easier transition from the drz. Maybe ride a 125 until you graduate, then see if you get some money to step up to a 250. The 125s teach you to be a better rider. Just some ideas, I'm sure others will have some suggestions as well. Good luck!

go to your dealer and sit on some bikes.

My nephew had the drz (5ft 1) so I can believe you are too big for that bike. He went to a kx100 which seems perfect.

Like Joe says, a cr125 might be perfect for you, but sit on one.

With you coming off of a DRZ125, I think that a 250 two stroke would be handful for you. You can compare their power to a 450 four stroke, not a 250 four stroke.

Look for a 250 thumper or a 125 smoker. Unless you have experience on a 250 smoker and know you can handle it. Otherwise, you be in for a treat when you see the difference in power between a DRZ125 and a CR250.

If you are tall enough for the cr125, buy it.

The crf250 will not not seem that much better after a month, but the cr125 will keep you happy for a year or more.

Don't overlook kx, rm and yz either. Check cycletrader dot com for prices too.

All this my opinion.
