MSR, Answer, and Gaerne? When I've looked up MSR boots, sometimes the Gaerne name is by them. Also, some models of Answer look nearly identical to MSR. What other comanies are combined like this and where does AXO fit in? Seems like it would be simpler to have one company, one name. But I guess it is a lot like car companies. :think:

You are correct as far as I know.
Many of the 'manufacturers' produce other brands under contract so the items are pretty close if not identical.
A few years back I had heard (never confirmed that 2 companies made about 80% of the brands shell and then sent them to them to be fitted with innards

Oh so that makes sense. Does anyone know where AXO falls in? The reason I'm asking is because I'm looking at some AXO MX2 boots, and I'm interested in the MSR MXT and Answer Mode boots also, but there is no place to try those on around here.
