I grew up outside of Buffalo and raced at the tracks below from 1974 to 1981. I live in TX now and have started riding again and think back to the old days with fond memories.

Zoar valley
Bluemont - Thursday nights
Dansville
Avoca
Mexico
Victor

And a bunch of others I forgot the names of. I think Zoar is gone, but not sure when or what happened. It was a great track. I also used to work at Dean's Cycles in Depew if anybody remembers that place.

Mexico is still there but I'm not sure about the rest. I used to love racing at Mexico in the 70's. It was the same track that they ran GPs on and it was kinda nostalgic. Of course the talcum powder sand was a pain in the butt. It got into everything!

Zoar Moto Park

Zoar Moto Park is Overgrown but the Legends still live on! I drive past it once in a while and tell my kids how big of a deal it was. If you worked at Deans , you remember Frank and Andy Stacy! Lots of fast riders gone into MX retirement. Took me years to find the bike I wanted as a kid but I now have it to restore. A 1973 TM125 with the shouldered rims. Sold out fast in 1973 so I settled for a new 1974. Raced all the tracks you mentioned. Bought the bike new for under $700! Those were the Days!

Hey Rob, what classes did you race? Yes I do remember Frank and Andy. I still keep up with Andy, bought a bike from him a couple years ago and still get together for a riding trip every now and then.

Hey, I was just looking up info on Zoar Valley and came across this post. I know it was from a long time ago. Anyway, my dad raced back then, and I remember him talking about Dean’s. Mike Wolf.
