Let's try to compile a list of aftermarket companies that make parts for the TM.. And any parts that fit off of other brands.

Fastway makes footpegs
Emig Racing makes triple clamps
Braking makes brake pads
front fenders from YZs
rear fenders from '94 - 98 KX
seats fit from '94 - 98 KX
250/400 thumpers: YZ426 oil filters
250/400 thumpers: Magura hydraulic clutch, so KTM parts should fit
250/400 thumpers: Arrow makes a titanium exhaust system

Pls. add to the list what you can..

Magura clutch: The Magura MC should not only fit, it definetly fits! And not only on the thumpers but on all TM models. At least over here these parts are cheaper when bought directly from Magura instad from KTM.

Honda CR250R clutch friction plates are used in the 250/300 twostroke TMs. The Honda steel plates work in emergency but rattle terribly.

Honda CR250R air filters fit in the 250/300 twostroke TMs.

Honda CR250R -'96 pipes can be easily adapted for the 250/300 twostroke TMs (just saw and file some material away in the area of the headpipe). GasGas Messico pipes fit on TMs.

Throttle and throttle cable from KTM are identcal.

GasGas uses the same front sprockets (2T at least).

Re: the air filters, what years CR models fit?
Apparently the 250/400 thumpers use the same air filter, just mounted upside down.

Wow! ??? Does this also mean that a '96 CR250R pipe can be modified to fit on a gasgas?

thanks,

Just about any year from 89 onwards. No Toil have labelled them for KTM 360's too (useful for Henk as he's got half a dozen or so from his 360).

Hey Cam,

Can you or anyone confirm that TM 4stroke Air Filter fit with a CR?
My sources tell me otherwise. But I agree they look identical?

My issue is I want to get a cover to wash the airbox out and need a matchup confirmation before ordering one. :aj:

I was told this by my TM distributor. Apparently it uses the same air filter as the 2-smokes, but you just turn it upside down to fit.

Let me know if this is in correct, and I'll pass it along..

Moose makes skid plates for 00-02 TM200-300 per catalog

Spoke to Moto Tassinari the tech people said a Delta II from CR125 or a Husky 125 (1997-99) will work great with a slight bit of grinding. If you send them an old stock cage they will machine one to work at no extra charge. This fits the earlier TM125 models : 1997 style motor.

@ chasejj:

You are right. I have got an Airbox Cover from RAMIREZ for a CR250R that fits great for my TM250. So when the for- and trwostroke TMs really use the same filter...

For a 2002 TM250MX, a KX250 94-98 seat cover would work? The 2002 seat covers are crap & it's pointless just replacing it with another stocker as it'll still make the bike look ratty, so just wanted to confirm it with anyone who would know.
Cheers

Yup, the 250 has the same seat as my 400 and I replaced my foam and cover with 94-98 KX stuff. It's a perfect match.

What is the service intervals for the 150 kit on the tm? Do you have to replace rings every 10 hours like with the kit on jap and ktm bikes? All of the stuff you listed do you know what will fit on a '05 tm 125? Also where in Pa do you live? I am in the West Chester Area.

Are the seat covers any different on a 2002 TM300. I definately need a new cover for it, anything out there? Also what about graphics kits?
Thanks

Rebel gears doesn't carry any countershaft sprockets for any TM bike.
Also, GasGas and Honda sprockets are definately different than those for the TM and will not fit properly. Been there, done that..not the same.

I can obtain countershaft and rear sprockets for anyone needing the proper TM item.
PM or Email.
