Hey guys...I know this is my first post, but I had something to ask you guys. Ive been riding quads for about 4 years now, and racing/mxing for about a year.....all of my other friends who race have dirtbikes(Yz125 and CRF250) and Ive been really tempted to look into getting a 125 class bike also......how hard would it be for me to start learning the basics and getting somewhat good/ok at jumping, cornering etc...one bike that I really like is the 2004 Cr125...what are your opinions on this?

i would look into buying a used four-stroke as well, just do your homework and enjoy your bike

I wouldn't get a cr125. Rumor is that Honda delayed release of it because there was no demand for the leftover 02s and 03s let alone the 04s. If you're just a beginner something like a yz250f would be easier to learn on IMO then a 125 2-stroke.

I am by no means a newbie to engines......I curently have a 500cc fourstroke mind you :P.....but I mean how is it for handling, suspension....is it easy to learn on....I dont have much money for this and I would want something good stock that I could race.

I think it would take atleast one season to get somewhat proficent riding a dirt bike, and that's considering your exp. on quads....anyways, its a lot more fun to ride two wheels than four....good luck.
