I ride desert enduros in the So Cal area and I'm tire shopping. Looking for a good 120/100-18 or 140/80-18 rear tire and a good 21" front. Riding a 300.

Terrain is sand, hardpack, rocks - broken and unbroken, and hardpack with loose top ... what is everyone liking these days ?

I'm particularly interested in hearing about the newer offerings from Pirelli (MT 83 front & rear, MT 450 front), Kenda (Millville, Carlsbad), Bridgestone (401/2, 601/2), and Barum / Mitas ... also interested in people's experiences with inexpensive tires like Cheng Shin, IRC or older Kendas ...

Good wear is an important factor, but so is handling and traction.

Thanks.
