Has anyone gathered a best places to ride list. With members from every state and many countrys I thought it would be cool to vote for and list the best, say 2 tracks and trails for every state. It would be very helpful when traveling. Maybe Gomer could help with something like this.

great idea jj. i'll start.

oklahoma
trails- 1. little sahara state park (dunes). nothing quite like riding dunes.
2. stillwater cycle park. something for everyone. if you get bored riding here, it's time to quit.

tracks- 1. hickory ridge. long and fast with big, yet safe jumps. you have a view of the whole track regardless of where you sit.
2. ascot park. good night racing track. great dirt. no dust.

places to ride

In West Virginia there is the newly opened Hatfield and McCoy trail system that has just opened last fall and there Is Mom's mountain just east of Beckley. Mom's has a lighted mx course and about 15 to 20 miles of trails.

I'm into the splitting California in half idea cause North is WAY different then south.

For south:
Trails,
1st Ocotillo Wells on highway 78 near Salton Sea. Any type of riding you want except single track through a forest. Most of the jumps from the Crusty videos are in this park. Dirt Rider Mag labeled it as "Disneyland For Dirt Bikes":)

2nd Glamis, HUGE Dunes, the biggest party I've ever been to on holiday weekends :p and some really fun flight training sessions on off weekends. ;) Heaven during the week when it's empty!!

Tracks,
Lake Elsinore, I think they're up to 8 different tracks there now. From 2 years old to retired and never riden to a track that I rode on with McGrath 2 weekends ago. A track for every skill level!!

Comp Park, Similar to Elsinore I just personally prefer Elsinore!

NorthEast Ohio, great tracks, few trails

well, here is my 2 cents, and it won't be good, so maybe someone else knows some better places. I am having a riding CRISIS in N.E Ohio.

First off there are about 12 !!!! tracks with 1 to 1.5 hours drive from me. Most DON'T have open practice, so the only riding you get is the racing. They are all GREAT from what I've seen. I like Pine Lake the best.

For riding places, here is where the crisis starts: Don't know of any, Hillsville got shutdown this year, that leaves Wellsville and 2 places in Canton ( Bear Creek, and someplace near Salem race track ). Wellsville is cool, but the places in Canton are tiny.

My vote for N.E ohio is Wellsville - try to live in southern Ohio if you can :)
They have the wayne forest!

GEORGIA

Well I can't speak for everyone in GA but......

My votes are as follows:
Trails - Houston Valley OHV & Locust Stake OHV

Tracks - Aonia Pass Motorsports Park & ?????

(Aonia is the only MX track that I have ridden (and like) in GA that is still open, Loganville practice track (aka; "X" track ) was recently forced into a temporary shut down. It is a real shame, just a couple of weekends ago we were watching Shae Bentley tear it up!)
