Since i have my bike at a mechanic i was wondering about boring out my cr 125 to a 144 ?

I have a Few questions?:
- will i notice a big difference?
- how much will this cost ?
- or am i just better of selling it and getting a 250 ?

get a 250 if you really want all the power. when i was buying my 250 the guy also had a 125 and he let us (my father and i) drive them both to see which one we liked better and we both liked the 250 a lot better. it has a ton bigger power band. try one and compare to what you have now.

i think its around 600$ from Eric Gorr. i've heard its one of the best upgrades for 125's with more bottom end and more peak.

i say get a 250 just becuase after u get used to the 144 power you are going to get the 250 anyway so instead you can use that time to get better on the 250.

You can not use all the 125's potential.More motor will seem to make you faster,it is not.Get the 134 mod.If you have the money, ask Eric for a kit, then you will have 2 bikes. An efficient rider can push either bike at the same speed!Learn on the 125 before getting a 250,if you can finish top 5 out of 40,then you are ready!

whenfoxforks-ruled, well put. If you ride the 125 for the rest of this season then you will learn to be an aggresive rider. The next spring when you start on a 250 you will ride it to it power more so.
