I have a KDX 200 90 E series that is refusing to start!
Rode well on sunday but did encounter quite a bit of water.
I noticed on idling when opening and shutting gates the engine soundded like it was labouring as if too low a tickover.
Went to start the bike yesterday (4 days after ride out) and it refuses point blank to fire up.
When I took the flywheel cover off there was a small amount of water in there along with some corrosion.
I've checked the woodruff key, cleaned the carb, neat fuel in the barrel.
Theres a spark.
I suspect its mistiming or its the ignition coil.
Any advice..
Cheers :yikes:

Have you changed the plug? I have had trouble with wet fouling on my ktm, it will spark in free air but under compression it will not. Is the carb in good nick, there could be a air leak and is the silencer clear. What is the compression like when you kick it over, same as normal? Im not sure if neat petrol in the barrel will help, i would kick it over with no plug to clear it out. Good luck.
