Yamaha YZ125. Bought today - used for 20 minutes, ran out of fuel - refilled tank and it will not start again. Checked fuel mixture, sparkplug ok, tried bump starting - no good.
It is possible the engine has flooded and if so, how do I rectify it?
Any advice appreciated, but have limited technical knowledge.

It never hurts to try a new plug. What did the old on look like?

Are you sure that there's fuel in the carb?

The spark plug looks new and works ok. When I tip the bike to the left fuel flows through ok.

go to ericgorr.com, and read his tech article on starting a bike; there are too many possibilites/variables for me to list, esp. when he has done so already...just always rem that an internal comb engine problem is always in at least one of the 4 following areas: fuel, air, spark, and compression.
