I found this on Holeshot and figured I'd post it here too as it seems it should be worth a few minutes of your time to take action.

THE MAJORITY OF ROADLESS COMMENTS ARE COMING FROM OUR OPPOSITION!

Of the 37,000 comments received so far, 35,000 are form letters. Only 800 are opposed to the Clinton-Gore Roadless Rule or ask that it be significantly revised. Of the 1,655 substantive letters received, only 200 support revision of the rule.

WE MUST DO A BETTER JOB! We must tell the Forest Service to revise the Clinton-Gore Roadless Rule. We must generate more comments! Please visit BlueRibbon's website at http://www.sharetrails.org and click on the "BlueRibbon Coalition Rapid Response Resource Center" icon, then click on "Send Roadless Comments to Chief Bosworth Today" to launch an instant "clickable" letter to the Forest Service.

All you have to fill out is your own info then presto - the letter goes out.

When you are done visit AMA Rapid Response and send their email too.

To REALLY make a statement, spend a few minutes and write your own letter and send it yourself either email, fax or snailmail - heck use all three!

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS IS SEPTEMBER 10, 2001 that's only 6 more days!!

Please re-write the message!! It's apparent from the Blue Ribbon Coalition notice that we, as dirt bikers, are good at forwarding form letters. Anyone can do that! The people that are writing against us are writing with passion, and passionate writing can go a LONG way to defeat us!!

Please include the facts that need to be represented from the form letter. But also, please include some personal experiences about how you have ridden your bikes and co-existed with other forms of recreation; how you make every effort to tread lightly where erosion is an obvious concern; how you always kill your engine to let horses walk by; how you stop to talk to mountian bikers and hikers to make sure that what you're doing is not offensive to them. It's important!!
