I think he is retired from racing planes, too. He started doing that a long time ago.

I think you are right. I went searching through the Reno air race results a while back looking for his name and noted that he had not raced in quite some time. His plane (P-51?) was named Voodoo and I think he quit racing in or about 2000.

Of course, he might be getting back into it.
