Bought 07 YZ250F With dry air filter How bad is it ??

My Buddy just bought an 07 YZ250F and after he got it home we looked in the air filter and it was dry and dusty. I took the filter off and there was a small layer of dust or dirt on the other side and now Im worried. It runs GREAT and sounds great but I want to know if I should keep it or not

How's the oil look? I would do a top end service on a new used bike anyway , there's your chance to make the decision.

The valves will go, then the rings. That was an expensive ride.

i just bought a 2003 yz450f with the head redone with new valves and i have already changed the oil and filter,new air filter,put ice antifreeze in it.
i can see the new gaskets on the top end,but i still serviced the bike before rideing it.

i would service that bike to!

It was probably due for a valve job anyway........
