I just installed a set of Boyesen Power Reeds in my 1991 KTM 500 MX. I put the new reeds in at the same time I replaced the top end. The instructions with the reeds say the bike will run richer, mostly affecting the main jet. I've already dropped the needle 1 position which helped noticeably, however wide open throttle gurgles. The stock main jet in this carb (Dellorto VHSB 38 AD) is a 190. How do the sizes of the main jet in this carb increment; by 1's, 5's or 10's? How much do you recommend I lower the main jet for the Boyesen Reeds?

Usually, the power reeds give you what jet to use along with the needle position. Maybe contact Boysen and see what they recommend. I know on mine I went down two steps on jet sizes. Not sure on yours but if you call a dealer, they can give you the available jets and you can figure out what the increments are from that.
