Just wondering what kind brand of brake pads are good for dirt bikes? EBC seems to be the ones you see all the time. Just wondering for MX, woods, mud, sand, just an average terrain rider. thanks
IMO, the aggressive metallic compounds should be used only on the MX track. They will wear out unacceptably fast, especially in mud and sand. You might get less than 100 miles out of a set. They do offer a slight advantage when maximum braking on a high traction surface.
Stock OEM pads are usually a very good compromise for wear and performance. If you can get them at a competivie price, go with stock, IMO. I've also had good luck with EBC's regular compound pads.
