Allright, my cylinder is done, my pipe is undented, the planets have aligned and I should have the KX together this weekend :yeehaw: :yeehaw: :yeehaw: .

Now, being a 4-stroke guy for the last 35 years, I'm not sure the proper procedure fo breaking in a new plated bore/piston in a 2 stroke. I used the let it warm at idle and run the snot out of it for all my 4-stroke applications using plain ol dino oil :p .

I have 2 gallons of Amsoil, and some C12 mixed up with the aforementioned Amsoil. Do I need to use dino oil for break-in or is synthetic OK?

Use the same oil you will use normally. There is a good thread about breaking in the new top end. It'd be easier to search for it than to re-list it again. If you can't find it, let us know. ;)
