I just bought some Tech 6's and I'm having a hard time breaking them in. I'm not able to ride that much so I'm sure a lot of riding would help. But I was wondering if there was anything that I could do to help. Can I apply some leather treatment? Like Glovolium, the stuff you put on a baseball glove? Or do I just tough it out while I put time on the bike?

thanks,

My method:

Fill the bathtub with the hottest water you can handle and stand in the tub with the boots on bending them back and forth. We've done this with Tech 8's, 6's, and Fox Formas.

Wow!! I've heard of people doing this but I didn't think they were serious.

BTW, cool bike pics.

Wear them while you weed eat, or do some kind of work around the house. And be sure you pay attention to the sole of the boots, when you start riding.

What do you mean by pay attention to the soles when I go riding? Watch for wear or something?

thanks,

Go to the Flame Forum, and read the thread called, "I thought they made a better product than this."

This works. Spray the inside of the boots lightly with cooking spray...however, use the stuff thats 100% pure olive oil.
Then wear the boots around the yard. Your boots will break in fast and your feet will smell great.
You can also try shaving cream. Use the kind with skin softeners.
Putting any kind of leather treatment on the outside of the boot is pretty much useless, as the outside of the boot is treated and will resist absorbing anything.

Come on Mister Peer...I heard you wear your riding gear around the neighborhood to get all the little kids to think your cool...I was informed you were signing autographs at Tim Hortons...until the police escorted you out.
Wayner told me, Your neighbors are worried about you sitting on your bike for hours in the hot sun. They can handle your nakedness...but the pink boots...really....
