Building a kx 150

I own a 2000 kx 125 and want to build a kx 150 but using a earlier kx 125. Any suggestions 94 or maybe a 96 model

I would go for the 96, as the 96 cylinders i believe interchange with any model built after 96 upto 2002.

Yeah but If using a used cylinder watch out for the power valve cartridge area on some they would slide too far rearward into the piston , On a 144 we always weld that area up abit on KXs . Its actually like the exhaust bridge area, but deeper in the port .

Thanks MarcusGunby and DEANSFASTWAY and if you have any more tips on what to watch for I would be grateful. I have checked out Eric Gorrs website and know the basics.
