Here is one from camping this weekend as it came out of the camera, shot as jpg. until I get some editing ware. It looks much better at full rez on the iMac screen.

Shot with the the kit lens with a 30 second exposure, I didnt get focus quite right, any help on that in low light, there isnt much to see to focus on.

It is in the SoCal dez, Charlies place/Wagon wheel, not on a cliff and the best composition I could get by setting the camera on my moto stand, LOL. I have a tripod, but the kids were asleep in the trailer where it was. The hi rez pic shows much more stars and the spark trails from the fire sneaking over the rock.

Last one looks a lot better. I''m no photo pro, but perhaps the intensity of the fire glow draws too much focus.
