can power valve covers shrink?

hi, my power valve cover leaks spooge, and ive tried new rubber seal, new gasket, that red gasket making cream,, and none of that worked,, could it have shrink down and no longer fits well? bike is 14 years old, i dont think its made of steel, maybe more like magnesium..?? 89yz125

I doubt it actually shrunk. Check to see if both mating surfaces are totally flat, because it could have warped a little. If this doesn't work, then I'd say you need a new cover.

could there be more seals around the power valve that keep spooge in the engine? i may try yamabond (hardening type) to try to seal it next time.
